With your contest created, we'll want to get your Categories sorted.
Below is the landing page of the Categories section of your contest, which can be accessed via the left hand rail under "Categories." Clever on our part.
You'll notice we've included a color code to see which categories are included at a glance.
Most importantly we want to look at the top row of options, shown again below:
Here you can create Category Groups, Categories, Import Categories and Export Categories. Take note, we have provided you with a premade set of categories. These are a generic set and based off our experience with multiple Best of contests.
When creating a Category Group you have the option of including an image from your own gallery or using free stock art.
When creating a Category, you'll need to determine which Group it falls under, a Name, a Nomination Type and Nomination Rules, if any need to be applied.
The Guru Site Settings will be discussed in a later article.
Once a Category has been created, you can click on the three dots to Edit, Unpublish or Publish a Category and Merge Categories. For Moderation purposes, once the contest is live, you can View Nominations and Votes.
With Categories handled, we are know on to the meat and potatoes, Nominations!
